Hermetic pump solutions for cryogenic liquid gases

LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) and LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) are liquefied gases used in industrial, energy and transport applications. LNG consists predominantly of methane and is liquefied at extremely low temperatures of around −162 °C, which significantly reduces its volume for storage and transport. LPG consists mainly of propane and butane and is liquefied at comparatively low pressure.

Hermetically sealed and reliable pump solutions are crucial for handling these media. Low temperatures, high vapour pressure and varying operating conditions place particular demands on pumping technology and plant safety. HERMETIC canned motor pumps enable safe and leak-free operation even under demanding cryogenic process conditions.
