By the ‘Solar’ market segment, HERMETIC refers in particular to applications in solar thermal power stations and concentrated solar power (CSP) plants. In these plants, solar energy is concentrated using mirror or heliostat systems to heat heat transfer fluids and thereby generate thermal energy or electricity.

Cannulated motor pumps are used wherever heat transfer oils or molten salts need to be pumped safely, continuously and emission-free at high temperatures. Thanks to their hermetically sealed design without a dynamic shaft seal, they enable reliable and environmentally friendly continuous operation even under demanding process conditions.

As CSP plants are often operated in remote regions with high ambient temperatures, the focus is on maximum operational reliability, low maintenance requirements, environmentally friendly continuous operation and long service life.
